Economy

The local government of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship attaches great importance to creating new conditions for economic development. Every fourth zloty of our Regional Operational Program is spent on support for businesses. The money is assigned for investments, state-of-the-art technologies and brand promotion. Thanks to the resources from the ROP, we have also decided to equip investment plots with essential underground services, mainly in small villages. The Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship is a perfect place to run a business activity and locate direct investments in. Foreign companies are increasingly present in our region. There are around 185 thousand businesses operating in the Kujavia and Pomerania Region, out of which around 1,712 companies with foreign capital. The region is also provided with nine subzones of the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone, three industrial parks and two industrial and technological parks, as well as one technological park. We have also created a system of business support within the frames of which the following institutes have been appointed: Investor and Exporter Service Centre, Credit Guarantee Fund, Loan Fund and Regional Export Centre. It is also worth emphasising here that tax exemptions and allowances are offered not only to investors on the areas of the business zones, but also to new entrepreneurs.
