Kujawsko-Pomorskie

One, who desires to explore the beauty of the Kujavia and Pomerania Region, won?t regret it. The region offers everything ? huge forest areas, charming lakes, pure rivers, popular health resorts, traditional countryside and worth-seeing historical monuments. It is simply an ideal place to revitalise, for mushroom picking, hunting, angling, water sports and horse-riding. It also allows ?touching the gothic? and seeing the place of birth of the great European astronomer, the Toruń resident Nicolaus Copernicus. We can also see how people used to live seven hundred years ago before Christ and when leaving taking with us not only good memories, but also the gingerbread of Toruń or a jar of the plum jam from the Valley of the Lower Vistula River. Kujawsko-Pomorskie is a unique region in Poland which give us a double pleasure of sight-seeing. As its name implies, it consists of two in one. As a result of the administrative reform in 1999, two extremely different historical and geographical lands were united situated on both banks of the River Vistula… Since then, everything here has doubled ? starting from the name of the voivodeship, its capital up to monuments of culture and natural attractions. Bydgoszcz and Toruń are the main cities of the region. The cities are close to one another and are perfectly connected via fastways, railway and even a water route. Together, they create the so-called two-city, namely a double capital of the voivodeship.
